Code of Conduct
HackMatrix should be a focused, respectful build floor where everyone can take part and do their best work. This code applies to participants, mentors, judges, volunteers, sponsors, and organisers, at the venue and in every online space.

Respect the room
- Treat everyone with respect, whatever their background, gender, religion, caste, language, ability, or experience.
- Be patient with beginners and generous with help.
- Keep feedback about the work, not the person.
Not allowed
- Harassment, intimidation, stalking, bullying, or unwelcome physical contact or attention.
- Offensive or sexual language and imagery, including in projects, team names, and Discord.
- Photographing or recording someone who has asked you not to.
- Alcohol, drugs, smoking, or weapons on campus.
- Damaging property, disrupting the event, or accessing systems, networks, or data without permission.
- Plagiarism, sharing another team's work, or misrepresenting how your project was built.
Build responsibly
Follow the event rules, organiser instructions, Adamas University's campus rules, and the law. Wear your participant badge at the venue and keep shared spaces clean.
Report a problem
If something feels unsafe or wrong, tell any organiser or volunteer at the venue straight away, or email [email protected]. You can report on behalf of someone else. Reports are handled privately and only shared with the people who need to act on them.
What happens next
Organisers may warn, remove from the venue, or disqualify anyone who breaks this code, without a refund. Serious incidents may be reported to Adamas University or the police.
